PicoSure effectively softens and stretches the “knots” within damaged scar tissue. The subsequent RF micro-needling treatment, administered two weeks later, further addresses these “knots” and initiates the collagen regeneration process, which typically spans 3-6 months. The desired outcome is usually achieved within 2-4 treatments, with minimal downtime.
Results become visible four weeks after the treatment. Over the following 3-6 months, the scar surface gradually becomes more consistent with the surrounding skin, leading to an overall improvement in skin texture and a reduced contrast between the scar and the adjacent skin.

Improving true acne scars involves the removal of top skin layers, allowing the skin to build a new surface while maximizing collagen production from below. This is most effectively achieved through CO2 laser resurfacing. The laser ensures precise abrasion depth, minimizing complications previously associated with dermabrasion (not microdermabrasion), such as permanent pigment changes.
